The Pursuit of Happiness

My latest project The Pursuit of Happiness is out on Amazon.

‘The Pursuit of Happiness’ is a collection of quotes on Happiness. In it, people, sages, philosophers, mystics, and religious leaders share their thoughts and views on happiness. This is the second in a series of five books – the first book being ‘The Mystery of Life’. Look out for the rest of the books in the series – quotes on Life, Love, Friends and Success.

Preview of the Book

People around us laugh and look happy, but if you were to observe closely, you would discover that most of the laughter is less than hearty. The laughter sounds faked and the happiness – even if it is real – is ‘of the moment’. Once the ‘moment’ is over, they are no longer happy. Are you one of those people?

We should all take time to think about this concept called happiness. What is the definition of happiness? How can one be happy? Why are some people happier than others? What is their secret? Why is happiness so elusive? Or is it really? Where can happiness be found?

It is difficult to say what makes a person happy. Some people, with their millions of dollars are no happier than those who have to scrape for a living. The successful career-man is not necessarily happier than the labourer digging by the side of the road under the hot sun. The man feasting on a sumptuous buffet is not necessarily happier than the man eating a simple sustenance. In fact, in some cases, these earthly gains are the cause of one’s unhappiness.

There is no doubt that of all the human pursuits, nothing seems to be stronger than the pursuit of happiness. All men seek happiness as a constant and ultimate goal so that the unpleasant and painful experiences can be forgotten. Some pay dearly for a few moments of an emotional high. It is tragic. It need not be so.

‘The Pursuit of Happiness’ is a compilation of quotes on happiness. Hopefully, by the end of the book, you will have a clearer picture of what happiness is, and how to achieve your happiness.

Best wishes in your pursuit of happiness!
