Happiness

The happiest people in the world are those who feel absolutely terrific about themselves, and this is the natural outgrowth of accepting total responsibility for every part of their life. - Brian Tracy

The happiness of too many days is often destroyed by trying to accomplish too much in one day. We would do well to follow a common rule for our daily lives – DO LESS, AND DO IT BETTER. - Dale Turner

Happiness is open to all, since, when you boil it down, it merely consists of contentment with what you have got and doing what you can for other people. - Sir Robert Baden-Powell

He who is happy is rich, but it does not follow that he who is rich is happy. The really rich man is the man who has fewest wants. - Sir Robert Baden-Powell

If you ever find happiness by hunting for it, you will find it, as the old woman did her lost spectacles, safe on her own nose all the time. - Josh Billings

Throw yourself into some work you believe in with all your heart, live for it, die for it, and you will find happiness that you had thought could never be yours. - Dale Carnegie

Our happiness or our unhappiness depends far more on the way we meet the events of life than on the nature of those events themselves. - Karl Wilhelm von Humboldt

Remember that happiness is as contagious as gloom. It should be the first duty of those who are happy to let others know of their gladness. - Maurice Maeterlinck

The principle of happiness should be like the principle of virtue: it should not be dependent of things, but be a part of personality [and character]. - William Lyon Phelps

Maybe it is best to treat happiness like a deer in the forest. Sometimes it will emerge from the woods and pay you a visit. But it dislikes undue attention. And if you chase it, it will run away.
