Lao Tzu, the Patriarch of Taoism

Empty the heart, fill the abdomen.
Explanation:
Relax, and empty your mind and heart of all thoughts. Breathe in gently and deeply, so that the incoming cosmic energy fills the energy centre at your abdomen. - Lao Tzu

The supreme good is like water,
Which nourishes all things without trying to.
It is content with the low places that people disdain.
Thus it is like the Tao.
- Lao Tzu

In dwelling, live close to the ground.
In thinking, keep to the simple.
In conflict, be fair and generous.
In governing, don't try to control.
In work, do what you enjoy.
In family life, be completely present.
- Lao Tzu

When the highest type of men hear Tao,
They diligently practice it.
When the average type of men hear Tao,
They half believe in it.
When the lowest type of men hear Tao,
They laugh heartily at it.
- Lao Tzu
