Food for Thought

If you are working on changing bad habits, unhealthy thought patterns, negative emotions, or toxic behaviours, know that you are healing a small part of the world by healing yourself. Everyone around you will benefit and they will be served by your wholeness. It’s hard sometimes and I know you want to quit, but this is the work that ultimately changes the world. - Emily Maroutian

History is always written by the winners. When two cultures clash, the loser is obliterated, and the winner writes the history books, books which glorify their own cause and disparage as the conquered foe. As Napoleon once said; “What is history, but a fable agreed upon?” - Unknown

When a door closes, knock on it a few times. But if it still doesn’t open, let it stay closed. In career, in love, in life – when you see the period at the end of the sentence, don’t try and turn it into a comma, know when something is over and move on. - Mandy Hale

See if you can catch yourself complaining in either speech or thought, about a situation you find yourself in, what other people do or say, your surroundings, your life situation, even the weather. To complain is always nonacceptance of what is. It invariable carries an unconscious negative charge. When you complain, you make yourself a victim. Leave the situation or accept it. All else is madness. - Eckhart Tolle

There is no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. - Ayn Rand
