Tulipmania – II

Besides the many varieties of tulip flowers on display at the Tulipmania, there is also information on the history of tulips and their life cycle. There is also a theme on the display. This year, the theme is mythology and cultures of Turkiye. This year’s display features the Göbekli Tepe, a Neolithic archaeological site in Upper Mesopotamia in modern-day Turkey, information on Mosiac Art, and Mardin’s Stone Houses among others. Visitors get to see the beautiful tulips and to know a bit more about the flowers and the country where they originated from. All very interesting.

Tulips come in a wide variety of vivid colours, with each colour signifying a different meaning. Their appearance signals the arrival of spring. The tulip is also the Türkiye’s national flower and interwoven into the country’s culture and history.

Here are more photos of tulip flowers from the Tulipmania floral display in the Flower Dome.
