Even if you do not accomplish what you set out to do, the small steps and little victories along the path of your pursuit will be precious life experiences for you. Sometimes, it is not the destination, but the journey that brings you joy. So, dream on, and as you dream, so shall you become.
Some dreams are challenging. But if the desire is strong, no matter how difficult it is, we will keep trying, again and again. The more challenging the dream, the more joy and satisfaction in accomplishing it. However, have realistic dreams and don’t expect your dream to come true without putting in hard work and sacrifices.
Life is short. If you have a dream, pursue it. It’s never too late to pursue your dream. Even if you couldn’t accomplish it in the end, at least you tried. Otherwise, you might regret not chasing your dreams in your old age. Do it while you are young and still have the energy. When you can afford the risks. As we grow older, we tend to play it safe and not take too many risks. We would rather treasure what we have – like good health, and financial comfortability, than run the risk of losing it all. We want to enjoy our remaining days, and have peace of mind.
Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to realise your dreams, to make your dreams come true. Your dreams come true when you act to turn them into realities. You may suffer set-backs, but you fail only when you abandon your pursuit. As long as there’s a dream, there is hope, and as long as there is hope, there is joy in living.

Besides favoured as a luck-bringing plant, Aglaonema is considered as a very effective indoor air cleaning plant cleaning out formaldehyde and benzene from the air. They adapt well to the humid tropical weather, and dislike the cold, or excessive sunlight. They like bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves.
They are popular houseplants, and are also grown as luck-bringing ornamental plants in Asia. This is news to me. I have two of them now. I hope they bring me lots of luck.
My sister was given this plant by her school’s gardener. An aglaonema with silver and white variegated leaves. For months, after being transplanted, it wasn’t showing any growth. Then, one day a new leaf appeared. After that, it grew quite prolifically.
As you can see, it is very healthy now. It has grown a new plant. I guess it needed time to settle down in a new environment. Recently, my sister brought home another Aglaoenma. This one has red and pink variegated leaves. So now we have two Aglaonemas. Both are healthy and doing well. I walked past these in a garden. They look healthy and nice – big, wide leaves variegated with silver and green colouration. I couldn’t help but take out my camera and took a couple of shots. A word of caution. Aglaonema’s sap is poisonous. It can cause skin irritation resulting in painful rashes. You can click on the picture for a better view.

I hope you get a laugh out of the following puns. I know, some of them are rather lame. But still, some people might get a good laugh out of it because we are all different. What is not funny to one might be funny to another.
Laugh when you can. It helps to keep depressing thoughts at bay. Laughter is good therapy. And in this day and time, we could all use a good laugh.
May your days be filled with laughter.
