I haven't been to the park since then. Since it has been a while, I thought it is time to have a look at the park again to see what is new, or has changed. So, I visited the park again recently. As I strolled through the park, I was very disappointed to see it had fallen to neglect. While the open grounds were still well maintained, the facilities in the park are a pale shadow of what they were.
There is a ‘Dog Run’, a butterfly garden, community garden plots, and a children’s playground. But these facilities were in a state of dereliction. Very sad indeed. At the entrance to the park, there is a restaurant called Whisk & Paddle.
Some chickens in the park. The entrance to the butterfly garden. It used to be well maintained with pretty flowers, and butterflies. But the place is in derelict now. Plants were not trimmed and the place overgrown with weeds. One of many rest and water points There is a dog run. A notice with the conditions of use. I didn't see any dogs as it was the mid afternoon. There are many steps like these for the able-bodied. But for those who couldn’t manage the steps, they can take the longer and more even route. These garden plots are very popular elsewhere. They are taken up very quickly and there is always a waiting line for one to become available. But over here, they looked like they haven’t been properly attended to. Some were still empty. I hope whoever is responsible for the park will make an effort to upkeep the place. You can click on the picture for a better view.
