Sights and Sounds of Arroyo de la Miel

Some photos of Arroyo de la Miel taken when I was out on my walks.

A nice cottage style house.

This year, I saw quite a few murals in the area. They were nicely done and they certainly lightened up the place.
This is a cat house, put there by the local council for stray cats. It provides food for the strays and also a place for them, especially in the winter.
There are quite a few avians in the area - parrots, doves, pigeons, swifts and seagulls. The group of parrots seem to be having an afternoon meeting. They can be quite noisy.
Orange trees can be seen all over the place. This is one bearing this year’s crop of oranges. However, these are too sour to be eaten. You can make marmalade with them though.
Blooming season for the Kapok Tree.
At the beginning of the Main street, across the road from the train station, there is a McDonalds. And towards the end of the Main street, there is a Burger King.
Benches are a common sight in Arroyo de la Miel. As I mentioned, the place is very hilly, and full of slopes. And there are many old folks here. The benches are very useful to them. They can take a break, have a rest before continuing on.
Sometimes, people sit outside their apartments and have a chat with their neighbours in the evening. Very sociable.
