On success

Success is never overnight. Success is the effort, the hard work, and perseverance that you put in every day. It’s when, every day you get a little better than the day before. People succeed because they are determined.

Successful people do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do. There has to be some sort of sacrifice, if you want to succeed. You have to give up something in exchange for your success. You also have to dare to take risk, if you want to succeed. You have to be prepared that you might fail and lose everything.

Sometimes, a person succeed because he has failed many times, and he was able to cash in on his failures. He learned the mistakes, and he gained experience from his failures. Success comes when you simply refuse to give up, with goals so strong that obstacles, failure, and loss only act as motivation.

Success is achieved by those who try. Where there is a lot to gain and little to lose, try.

The truth is, success often occurs for reasons we don’t expect, under circumstances over which we have little control and sometimes unrelated to our own efforts. There is only one other lesson that success should teach us: be as amazed by your own success as your friends are. If you truly are, you stand the best chance to repeat it. - Harvey Mackay

Success and failure are not dealt out like prizes and blanks in a lottery, by chance and indiscriminately; but there is a reason for every success and failure. Indolence, chicanery, waste will cause the one; while industry, honesty, and thrift will ensure the other. - James Platt

The greatest successes grow out of great failures. In numerous instances the result is better that comes after a series of abortive experiences than it would have been if it had come at once; for all these successive failures induce a skill which is so much additional power working into the final achievement… The hand that evokes such perfect music from the instrument has often failed in its touch, and bungled among the keys… Every disappointed effort fences in and indicates the only possible path of success, and makes it easier to find. - E. H Chapin
