We sometimes give ourselves admirable advice, but we are incapable of taking it. So, we ask around for advice hoping that someone will come up with a more agreeable advice. Generally, we are not going to get better advice. No one is more aware than we are of the problem we are dealing with. People don’t know the whole extend of our problem. Even if they do, they are not us. We do things differently. Their well meant advice might be good for them, but not for us.
It’s good to listen to other people’s advice, but at the end of the day, we are the only ones who can tell what’s right for us.
