Food For Thought

When we fail to be kind to all man, we destroy our own peace of mind. The jewelled pivot on which our lives must turn is the realization that every person we meet throughout the day is a dignified essential personality of the human family. - K. Sri Dhammananda

A branch that grows crooked, or that is crooked from the beginning, will never straighten out. If you don’t learn right from wrong early on, or if you don’t learn manners when you are young, you will never learn them later. - Bethania Maria

We can easily manage if we will only take, each day, the burden appointed to it. But the load will be too heavy for us if we carry yesterday’s burden over again today, and then add the burden of the morrow before we are required to bear it. - John Newton
