The best way to die is to go to bed and never wake up again. There will be no suffering, no fearing, and no waiting for Death to come. This is what everyone wishes. Unfortunately, our death is something we do not have a choice, or say in. We will never know when we are going to die or how we are going to die. We just have to accept what comes.
As men, we are all equal in the presence of death. Whether you are royalty, or the common people, whether you are rich or poor, good or bad, we are all equal in death.
Reflection on death would remind us that life is fragile.
Always be thou prepared, and so live that death may never find thee unprepared. - Thomas A. KempisThe world's an inn, and death the journey's end. - John Dryden
Graveyards remind us of the vanity of all human endeavour. - Ivan Klima
You can be mad as a mad dog at the way things went, you can swear and curse the fates. But when it comes to the end, you have to let go. - Benjamin Button
No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true. - Steve Jobs
