Centratherum is a genus of flowering plants in the daisy family. They are easily grown in moist, fertile, well-drained soils in full sun. In tropical to semi-tropical climates, it will remain in the garden as a perennial.
The plants will self-seed in the garden, sometimes aggressively, making them a good spreading ground cover, highlighted by a long continuous June-September bloom of fluffy, button-shaped, lavender-blue flowers.
Their leaves are coarsely-toothed, oval to elliptic, olive green to pale green with depressed veins, and are pleasantly fragrant.
