A Walk in the Gardens by the Bay

Gardens by the Bay is a nature park spanning 101 hectares (250 acres) of reclaimed land in the Central region of Singapore. It is part of the nation’s plans to transform its “Garden City” to a “City in a Garden”, with the aim of raising the quality of life by enhancing greenery and flora in the city.

It was intended to be Singapore’s premier urban outdoor recreation space, and a national icon. As such, the Gardens by the Bay is very popular with the tourists as well as the locals.

The following are some random shots taken at the gardens.

Measuring seven meters in diameter, the Floral Clock blends timekeeping precision with botanical artistry. It’s design is inspired by the timepieces of Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet, and features the signature octagonal bezel and hexagonal screws of its Royal Oak Collection.

It is a gift to Gardens by the Bay from Audemars Piguet on the occasion of Singapore’s 50th anniversary. Every now and then, the flowers are changed.

Beautiful Orchids Flowers

Alpinia purpurata 'Madikeri White', also known as White Flowering Ginger, a pure white form of the common flowering ginger.

I don’t know the names of the rest. I was curious about them.
