Truisms

Life is a learning process. We will learn until our last breath, and not have learned all, or enough. However, if we are attentive to the words and experiences of the people who have gone on before us, or who had been through life’s hard knocks at some point, we might be able to avoid some heartbreaks.

Enjoy the following selection of truisms.

Empty pockets never held anyone back. Only empty heads and empty hearts can do that. - Norman Vincent Peale

If you don’t say anything, you won’t be called on to repeat it. - Calvin Coolidge

Do we really know anybody? Who does not wear one face to hide another? - Frances Marion

If you fight for a place in someone’s life, you will never be comfortable there. - Marinela Reka
