Rainy Season

The picture shows what the sky has been like here for the last ten days or so. Although it is the rainy season here, this year, there has been more rain than previous years, due to the La Nina effect.

Some days it rained continuously for a stretch. They call that the ‘long life rain’. Some days it drizzled on and off throughout the day. Some days, it drizzled so quitely and the rain so fine – they call that the ‘no noise rain’, you didn’t realized that it rained until you see the ground was all wet.

According to the weather man, this will continue till this weekend.

All these rain has brought the temperature down a bit – to the 23C level. And it might drop to a low of 21C. Here, in the tropics, where we are only 80 miles from the equator, where temperatues seldom vary beyond 28C – 33C, many are finding it too cold to be comfortable.
