Choose Your Friends Carefully

Sometimes, it is difficult to tell who are our true friends. Not all people are genuine. Some people are not who they pretend to be. And we do not know who our friends are until some calamity happened to us. It is said when we rise in life, our friends know who you are. When we fall down, we know who our friends are.

When we are at our most vulnerable of times, when help is needed and appreciated, true friends are the ones who will step forward to help. False friends leave you in times of trouble. They will give excuses or just conveniently disappeared.

So, choose your friends carefully. Be careful who you call a friend because false friends are worse than bitter enemies.

Just because they hang around you and laugh with you doesn’t mean they are your friends. People pretend well. At the end of the day, real situations expose fake people, so pay attention. - Trent Shelton

An insincere and evil friend is more to be feared than a wild beast; a wild beast may wound your body, but an evil friend will wound your mind. - The Buddha

As a wolf resembles a dog, take care then that instead of watch dogs, you do not without knowing it, let in mischievous wolves. - Epictetus

The reason we have few friends in adversity, is, because we have no true ones in prosperity. - Norman MacDonald

Friends should be like books, few, but hand-selected. - C.J. Langenhoven

When you choose your friends, don’t be short-changed by choosing personality over character. - William Somerset Maugham
