Chrysanthemums

Chrysanthemums, also known as ‘Gold Flower’ to the Greeks, belong to the Asteraceae, or sunflower family. They come in many colours and forms.

Chrysanthemums flowers have many uses. Most commonly used to make tea - chrysanthemum tea. They are sometimes used to add flavour to rice wine, and as garnishes for Sashimi dishes.

The chrysanthemum plant has medicinal properties, and is said to be used for treating conditions such as chest pain, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
