Outskirts Of Chinatown

I went into town to meet some friends for dinner on Monday. As I was a bit early, I got off the bus a couple of bus-stops before my destination to have a look at the area and to take a few pictures.

This was on the outskirts of Chinatown.

Elgin bridge across the Singapore river. According to reports, that was where the first foot bridge over the Singapore River was built in 1819.
Apartments along the River walk.
A river taxi ferrying people from the quays to the business district. Tourists can book a river cruise too.
The following are buildings in the area – shops, offices, apartments and hotels... The day was rather grey. That's why the pictures are not clear.
