Thoughts On Love

We do not start out to love someone for who he or she is. What we love is our perception of the persona. It's the image of who we thought our love is that we love. It could be that we were misled into forming that perception, or it could be we misinterpreted their actions and behaviours, or it could be we didn't understand the person well enough, and were totally wrong in our perception of him.

This is why so many marriages and relationships fail. We soon realized that the person we love isn’t what we expected at all. When that happens, some people would want to get out of the relationship immediately. Others hang on to the relationship for one reason or another. Over time they either learned to accept and love the partner for who he or she is, or are stuck in an unhappy relationship.
