Death Is A Great Teacher

Nothing in life lasts forever. All things decay and decompose after a time. We too will die after a certain number of years. Once you understand and accept that, you no longer have to worry or fear death. And until that day comes, you are free to forge ahead with your goal, or to live the life you want. You will come to realize that time is precious and there is no time to waste. You have to make good use of the short time you have left.
Death teaches us that in the long run nothing belongs to us. We came into this world with nothing. We will leave this world empty handed. Even if we desire to form permanent attachments or possess, we in truth, cannot. Things will break in spite of us. People will depart when it is their time no matter how loudly we protest. - Unknown

Spotted In Chinatown

Strolling in Chinatown, I spotted this artist on the street. He seemed very keen on the buildings in Chinatown. I saw him on two occasions.
Wall murals
'Lantern effigy' – if there is such a word, of samsui women. Samsui women refers to female immigrants from China who worked as labourers in construction sites from the 1920s. to 1940s.
Lanterns effigy of hawkers. Hawkers used to ply their trade in the streets of Chinatown in the early days.

I was to meet some friends for dinner in Chinatown. Since I arrived a bit earlier than the appointed time, I took the opportunity to have a quick wander around the area to see if there was anything new.

Gardens By The Bay

To fully appreciate the Gardens by the Bay requires several visits. There is much to see, to revisit. Apart from the attractions which are numeral firsts in the world, there is always something going on, some festival celebrations, events, or new attractions. This is how the garden remains interesting and attracts visitors to return.

Therefore, it is always a pleasure to visit the Gardens. This is why it is Singapore’s number tourist spot, and why it is a favourite of the locals. If you ever come this way, make sure you make time for a visit to the Gardens by the Bay.
