You And The World’s Happiness

We have to accept that we can’t always be happy. There will always be ups and downs in life. Sometimes, we are happy, sometimes we are not. It’s okay. When you feel unhappy, be patient. The unhappiness will pass, and you will be happy again.

One of the simplest ways to stay happy is letting go of the things that make you sad. Do not cling on to things that make you unhappy. If you do that, you are choosing to be unhappy. Expect nothing, and appreciate what you have. Happiness cannot be far from a grateful heart and peaceful mind.

If you want to be happy, take a little time to do whatever makes you happy. Only you know what makes you happiest. Being happy is a very personal thing and it really has nothing to do with anyone else.

You have it easily in your power to increase the sum total of this world’s happiness now. How? By giving a few words of sincere appreciation to someone who is lonely or discouraged. Perhaps you will forget tomorrow the kind words you say today, but the recipient may cherish them over a lifetime. - Dale Carnegie

The duty of happiness becomes clearer when we see how it affects others. It is the merry heart that makes the cheerful countenance, and it is the cheerful countenance that spreads cheer to make other hearts merry. The sunny soul brings sunshine everywhere. A bright and happy temperament is a great social asset, adding to the happiness of the world. - Hugh Black

Those feel-good vibes that flow from your being happy can be good for your health. Moreover, your happiness will likely rub off on others, making them happy too. Happiness is like a virus – it can be passed on. - Gloria Chandy

If we are not happy, if we are not peaceful, we cannot share peace and happiness with others, even those we love, and those who live under the same roof. If we are peaceful, if we are happy, we can smile and blossom like a flower, and everyone in our family, our entire society, will benefit from our peace. - Thich Nhat Hanh

The happiness of those who want to be popular depends on others; but the happiness of the wise grows out of their free acts. - Marcus Aurelius
