Dolichandra Unguis-cati

This is on a small section of my walk route. The Dolichandra unguis-cati flowers bloomed and it was quite a lovely sight to behold.

Dolichandra unguis-cati is also commonly known as cat's claw creeper, funnel creeper, or cat's claw trumpet. It is a rapidly growing climbing vine.  They are perennial flowers, yellow in colour and trumpet shaped.

A woody vine, it climbs by means of claw-shaped leaf tendrils and adventitious roots, spreading rapidly both vertically and horizontally. The roots produce tubers which produce runners.

It is an ornamental flower suitable for parks and gardens, on trellis and pergolas for its bright yellow flowers.
