What Is Love?

Love is an intense feeling of liking for a person or an object. The intensity and strength of this emotion varies from person to person, and from object to object. What is certain is that we all have the capacity to love, to give love – and we all need to be loved.

Love doesn’t need to be perfect; nor logical. It just needs to be true and it only has to make sense to two people. And for love to be of value, it must be given freely.

Love takes time to grow. It grows each day in its special way, with the things we do and words we say. It's hard work, but if we work at it, we greatly improve our chances of making love stay. In love, we should love people for who they are, not for who we want them to be.

Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz define love as “to be delighted by the happiness of another”. What is your definition of love?
