Wednesday Walk

This used to be a railway track linking Singapore to the northern neighbour Malaysia. This mode of transport has now discontinued and the authorities has yet to decide what to do with the land. In the meantime, it is used by bikers, joggers and walkers.

The track runs parallel to my normal walking route. Sometimes, for a change of scenery, or for something different, I walk along the track too. It’s greener and there is more natural habitat.

These specks of white and yellow stood out beautifully in a background of green.

Banana trees in the wild.

A wandering rooster.

Reflections of clouds in a stream.

Wheat grass.

Some wild plants I do not know the name of.

Beautiful white flowers.

As always, it was a pleasant walk.

The sum of the whole is this: walk and be happy; walk and be healthy. The best way to lengthen out our days is to walk steadily and with a purpose. - Charles Dicken
