The top of the Flower Dome
Spectacular and innovative, the Flower Dome at the Gardens by the Bay is the largest glass greenhouse in the world as listed in the 2015 Guinness World Records at 1.2 hectares! Step into, and stand in awe of nature.
The Flower Dome replicates a cool-dry mediterranean climate. Plants from the Mediterranean and semi-arid subtropical regions, complemented by changing displays in the Flower Field to reflect different seasons and festivals.
It features a changing display, the flower field, and eight other gardens, namely The Baobabs, Succulent Garden, Australian Garden, South African Garden, South American Garden, Olive Grove, California Garden and the Mediterranean Garden. These eight gardens exhibit exotic flowers and plants from the Mediterranean and semi-arid regions from five different continents.
These are Dahlias from the exhibition earlier in the year.
Here are some flowers from another display. The Flower Field is where they hold their flower exhibitions and there is a new exhibition quarterly, at least.
