After our out and about walk, my buddy @sinlg and I decided to have something to eat. Since we were in the vicinity of Funan Mall, we decided to go and see what's interesting there.
There are plenty of eateries in the mall. From Chinese to Western to Korean to Japanese. From fine dining to no-frills dining to fast food to food courts. Diners can have their pick, and are spoilt for choice. I wanted to have something different. We came upon Guzman y Gomez Mexican Taqueria, and I suggested we gave it a try. I have never had Mexican food before.
It says restaurant, but it's really fast food restaurant with a simple menu. We ordered the Nachos and the Enchiladas to share. I was being adventurous. I know something of Nachos, but nothing of Enchiladas. I have heard the name, but haven't tried it before. Luckily, I eat all food. It's a matter whether I like it enough to eat them again, or never to eat them again.
Enchiladas - a regular burrito topped with salsa, melted Jack cheese, crema, guacamole and corn chips.
Nachos - corn chips with melted Jack cheese, black beans, salsa, guacamole and a choice of chicken, beef or pork filling
I will definitely have the Nachos again. The Enchiladas, I am not so keen. I will still eat it, but it won't be my first choice. Maybe I am Chinese, I prefer to eat rice the Chinese way.
This is their menu. On it, it gives you the steps to ordering. You chose the dish first, then the filling, and a side to go with your meal, if you like. Then you order your drinks.
Nice colourful table tiles.
