Thoughts On Love

Love – a timeless topic. Much has been said and just as much has been written. A never-ending topic of materials for songs, novels and poems. Sometimes, hearing the love portrayed in a song, or reading about it in novels makes one want to immerse oneself in this sweet, delightful, and magical feeling called love. But how many people know the definition of love? How many people know what love is and what it entails? Do they understand what loving someone means? How many have experienced true love?

Here are some thoughts on love.

"When it comes down to it, you can like a face or a body, but you don’t fall in love with it. You fall in love with the mind. The way a person thinks, the way a person talks. Beauty attracts people, but your thoughts are what’s going to make them stay." - Unknown

"Let someone love you just the way you are – as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark nook." - Marc Hack

"The experience of falling in love is invariably temporary. No matter whom we fall in love with, we sooner or later fall out of love if the relationship continues long enough. This is not to say that we invariably cease loving the person with whom we fell in love. But it is to say that the feeling of ecstatic lovingness that characterizes the experience of falling in love always passes. The honeymoon always ends. The bloom of romance always fades." - M. Scott Peck
