Today, we take a peek into the world of other creatures that roam the earth. Here are some interesting fun facts about them – courtesy of Facebook pages ‘Strangest Facts’, ‘Zootopia’, ‘Animal Unlocled', etc… However, I do not know if they are true. Some of them sound really incredible.
The Golden Poison Frog (Phyllobates terribilis) is one of the most toxic animals on Earth, with enough batrachotoxin in its skin to kill 10–20 adult humans. Endemic to the humid rainforests of Colombia’s Pacific coast, its brilliant golden coloration serves as aposematic (warning) signaling to predators.
Unlike most frogs, it is active during the day and has a specialized diet of certain ants and beetles that provide the toxins it sequesters. Indigenous Emberá people have traditionally used its secretions on blow darts for hunting. Despite its extreme toxicity, it is small (about 2 inches / 5 cm) and harmless if not ingested or entering open wounds.

A snake with no wings should not be this good at leaving the ground. But the real trick is what happens after the leap. The paradise tree snake does not simply fall with confidence issues. It turns its whole body into flying equipment. Before launching, it hangs from a branch in a J-shape, picks an angle, then springs outward like nature just violated its own terms of service.
In midair, it spreads its ribs to flatten itself into a curved, ribbon-like shape that helps create lift. Then it does the strangest part: it keeps slithering. That side-to-side motion is not panic. Researchers found it helps stabilize the glide, giving the snake control instead of turning it into airborne spaghetti.
Native to Southeast Asia, this snake uses the move to cross gaps, escape threats, and travel through the canopy without taking the long, dangerous route down.

Do Centipedes Really Mate Without Ever Touching Each Other?
Yes — and their reproductive strategy is one of the most unusual in the animal kingdom.
Instead of mating through direct copulation, the male centipede produces a small packet of sperm called a **spermatophore** and leaves it on the ground for the female to collect.
In some species, the male performs an elaborate courtship dance to guide the female toward the spermatophore. Others go a step further by spinning a tiny silk-like pad or web to keep the sperm packet clean, moist, and securely attached until the female picks it up.
Once she accepts it, the female transfers the spermatophore into her reproductive tract, where the sperm fertilizes her eggs internally. This allows reproduction without the pair needing prolonged physical contact.
Scientists believe this strategy evolved because centipedes are solitary, aggressive predators that could easily injure or even kill one another during close encounters. Leaving a spermatophore greatly reduces that risk while still ensuring successful reproduction.
