Bayfront Station

Bayfront station is an interchange for the Circle line and the Downtown line. This area, the waiting point of the station is usually very busy. Besides being an interchange, the station also serve the Marina Bay Sands integrated resort and the Gardens by the Bay. Both places are top tourist and local attractions. Therefore, there are always lots of people coming and going. However, during this time of the pandemic, the place is a pale shadow of its normal self. The place is so quiet. No passengers hurrying by, or waiting for friends, and hardly any tourists. I have never seen the place so quiet. I couldn’t resist taking some pictures of the place while waiting for my friend. We were going to have a walk in the Gardens by the Bay.

The shops are empty of customers. Many times, I have wondered how they survive in this time of pandemic. This is prime area, prime location, and prime estate. We are talking big money for rental of a shop space.
