Choa Chu Kang Park

Nowadays, in the parks and gardens here, a corner is set aside for community gardening. The idea is to turn common spaces into community gardens allowing people in the community to come together to create, develop and sustain a gardening space in their locality. These community gardens foster a gardening culture and a greater sense of civic ownership. It is also a good opportunity for neighbours and peers to come together for bonding and sharing of knowledge and experiences.

Residents in the nearby area can rent a gardening plot and plant vegetables, or flowers, or whatever their creativity juices can come up with.

Here are photos of the fruits and vegetables planted by some of the community members.
