The Flowering Trees In Benalmadena

Albizia julibrissin, the Persian silk tree or pink silk tree also known as Mimosa tree. Their flowering season is now – Summer time. All the trees are covered with beautiful flowers.

Jacaranda mimosifolia also known as blue Jacaranda tree. This tree blooms during Spring time. This picture, courtesy of a friend is the Jacaranda tree in full bloom in Spring. There is this area where Jacaranda trees were planted on both sides of the road. Image how it would be when all the trees on both sides of the road were covered with flowers.

This is another lovely tree covered in red flowers when in full bloom. Unfortunately, I don’t know its name.

This is another unknown to me. It looks like some variety of trumpet flowers.

Besides the above, there are also the Magnolia trees with their lovely, white fragrant flowers.

And also the Kapok tree whose bloom looks like cotton. This will happen later in the season. Imagine the tree covered in white cotton-like flowers. What an awesome sight it is.

Spring and Summer are colourful seasons in Benalmadena.
