Malva, also known by its common name mallow is a close relative of hollyhock. It is a genus of herbaceous plant in the family Malvaceae. It is also one of several closely related genera in the family to bear the common English name mallow. They are perennial and easily grown by sowing the seeds directly outdoors. The seed is easy to collect. Quite often, they will spread themselves.
