The Paradox of Words

On the one hand, words are hollow. They are just air. They mean nothing and cost nothing.

On the other hand, words can hurt, cause pain and break hearts. They can strike deeper than a blow with a sword. They can wreck a life, or turn a life around. They can also heal, motivate and inspire.

So, be very careful with words, because once a word is let out of your mouth, it cannot be recalled. Words are to be used with caution. When in doubt, when you do not know what to say, don’t say anything. The unspoken word can do no harm.
