Costus Specosus, also known as crepe ginger, spiral flag, and white costus is a species of flowering plant in the family Costaceae. It is a large perennial herb. Its flowering spike is dark red, ovoid-oblong in shape. White, funnel-like flowers with a yellow centre emerged in between the bracts.

The species reproduces vegetatively by rhizome, and birds disperse the seeds when they feed on the fruits. They are widely cultivated as an ornamental, although in some countries they are cultivated for its medicinal uses. Over here, they are commonly seen by the roadside, parks and gardens.
