A flower is also sometimes called a bloom or blossom. They are the reproductive structure in flowering plants. They come in all sorts of forms and colours.
The colourful flowers in the gardens filled the atmosphere with a nice scent. They refreshed and lifted our spirits. You could say, we literally stop to smell the flowers.
