Cave Temples

There are many cave temples in Ipoh. These are very popular tourist attractions. However, I don’t think anyone would want to visit all of them. We picked the two most popular ones. We did visit a couple of other temples along the way suggested by our driver.

‘Kek Lok Tong’ was the first cave temple we visited. With a “massive cave formation, interesting geological features, and a serene garden surrounded by limestone hills”, ‘Kek Lok Tong’ Temple just might be the best place to visit in Ipoh. It was quite impressive.

On entering the massive opening, you will see religious artifacts, stalactites, and stalagmites.
Navigating through the cave, at the back, there’s a garden with a fish pond. The garden is well maintained – beautiful and peaceful, and it was pleasant to casually stroll around the gardens feeling the serenity. A very nice garden indeed.
