Mynah Birds

Mynah birds originate from Africa, India as well as Southeast Asia. There are many types of mynahs, but generally, they are divided into two main groups – hill mynahs and common mynahs. As the names imply, hill mynahs are usually found in the dense nature areas, whereas, common mynahs are usually found in open grassland and areas occupied by humans.

Mynahs can be loud and annoying. They can be quite invasive pests. But they are also intelligent, and some can mimic human voices – especially if they are kept as pets from young. The hill mynahs are more sought after as pets. I guess they are more ‘refined’. The common mynahs – well, they are common, and can be loud, invasive pests.
