Swan Lake

One of the main attractions in the Botanical Gardens is the swan lake. In the lake, which is home to numerous species of aquatic plants and fishes is a pair of mute swans from Amsterdam. That is where the name Swan Lake comes from. Before the arrival of the swans, the lake was just known as the main lake. There are a couple of smaller lakes in the garden. The swan lake is about 1.5 hectares and four metres deep. It was man-made, of course.
Do you see the two swans? It was difficult getting the swans together for a close shot. They were both very busy
I managed to get a shot of the swans in close proximity. Unfortunately, it was not a very good shot
In the lake, there is a sculpture titled ‘Flight of Swans’. The swans looked like they were taking flight from the surface of the water.
On the edge of the lake is a sulpture of three Geese. Maybe there were geese in the pond at some point.
On the other side of the lake is another sculpture called ‘Swing Me Mama’. It shows a mother swinging her child.
