Petunias

Petunia is a genus of 20 species of flowering plants of South American origin. They have wide trumpet shape flowers, and come in many colours. They are favoured for their long blooming periods. Petuias are perennials and can be grown in pots or hanging baskets, or used in borders or seasonal groundcover.
Fun facts from Wikipedia

The Maya and Inca believed that the scent of Petunias had the power to ward off underworld monsters and spirits.

In New Age folklore, Petunias will only thrive where there is positive energy and will not grow where there is negative energy.

When given as a gift, Petunias have (in the language of flowers) two mutually exclusively meanings symbolising on the one hand being comfortable with someone and on the other, anger and resentment.

Isn’t that interesting? Someone gift you some Petunias and you are left wondering whether he is ‘comfortable’ with you or he/she is angry and resents you.
