Benalmadena Marina

I read that the Benalmadena Marina, or Puerto Marina Behalmadena is "amongst the best in the world." It won the ‘Best Marina in the World’ award for several years. "With 1,100 moorings for boats of all nationalities and up to 6 meters long, Benalmadena Port – ‘Puerto Marina’ is one of the Costa del Sol’s busiest centres by day and night. For the energetic, the nightlife carries on in sophisticated bars and clubs.”

Being one of the top Marinas in the world, it is not surprising that the place is always bustling and teeming with people. There are many restaurants, souvenir shops, and a big shopping mall. A popular and hot hub indeed.

The Benalmadena Marina, which is about 45 minutes’ walk from Roger’s apartment is the turn back point of our walk. A walk there, have a wander around the place, take some pictures and then walk back to the apartment takes about two hours. That is a fair bit of walking under the hot summer sun – not to mention having to walk up the many slopes of the area. It is quite exhausting indeed.
