Mijas

Mijas is an Andulusian municipality in the province of Malaga. According to Wikipedia, Mijas has 91,691 inhabitants, which makes it the third municipality in the province in terms of population. Like Benalmadena, Mijas is concentrated in three main urban centers: Mijas Pueblo, located on the slope of the Mijas mountain range, constitutes the historic center of the municipality; Las Lagunas, located in the area called Mijas Costa, is part of the urban continuum of the city of Fuengirola; and La Cala, a coastal town.

Here are some pictures of the village from my visit. As with any tourist attractions, there are plenty of shops and cafes.

This used to be a bullfighting ring. The bull fighting activities have stopped and it is now a museum.
Because the village is on a hillside, there are slopes everywhere. For those with mobility problems, you can take a tour of the village in the following modes of transport.

Guided tours on the tuk tuk.

These are donkey taxis. You can rent them to go for a ride in the village.
Donkey rides for the little ones.
Or if you prefer to pay a bit more and ride in style, you can rent a horse carriage. I guess this is more comfortable compared to the donkey taxis.
