Seek To Understand

When we can understand what a person is going through, or why a thing/event is happening, chances are we will be able to sympathize. When we can sympathize, we will find it easier to forgive, to accept the situation.

Understanding means knowing the motives behind an action, the reason for something happening. It is the first step to acceptance, and only with acceptance can there be letting go. That is why understanding is deeper than knowledge. Understanding is also the essence of Love. If you cannot understand, you cannot love.
