You can jog, walk, cycle, rollerblade along the nicely maintained paths, or you can follow the paths which will take you to the nearest park, or parks.
This is an 'offshoot' from my regular walk route. It leads to a park up on the slope. They have been working at it for a while. But work was stalled due to the pandemic and it was only recently that work was completed and the path opened to the public.
Last Saturday, I saw the fence to the entrance was removed and there were people using it. So, I thought I would make a detour from my walk and check out the path and have a look at the park up there.
A small stretch of the path on the shoulder of an express-way. This is looking back down at the path. I don’t know if this is still work in progress, or if it it is meant to be like that. There are two paths leading up the slope. The outer one is the park connector. The inner one leads to the back gate of an army camp. So it is possible that the split in the center is meant for army vehicles going to the camp. Coming to the end of the connector. Looking back down the slope again. A cloudy day Entering the end of the park. Looks like work in progress. Interesting tree with air roots. In one corner of the park, they are building a club house. Work has been in progress for a long time. Due to the pandemic, work was disrupted. So, nothing particular about this park connector. Just a small stretch of the park connector network connecting to a park. But it does give me an alternative walk route. I will be using it from time to time to take a detour from my walk route and have a look at the park. Definitely, a good alternative.
Choa Chu Kang Park. Not a very big park. But it has all the amenities for all ages - walk/jog path, playground, exercise stations - quite a few of them, there is also a skateboard station and a community gardens...
Youngsters on their skateboards Exercise stations. Children's playground. A community garden.
