The above sounds rather nice - to me anyway. But nah, that is just bait for you to read on. What is more to the point is - it's just a simple bloke trying to feed himself. So, if you are like me, the type who eats to live, then you are in the right place. Or if you are morbidly curious what I can do with French beans, then read on.
Here we go. Stir-fry French beans, Vincent's style.Nip off both ends of the French beans. Break them into smaller pieces, and wash them.
Prepare some garlic and dried prawns. These are optional. If you don’t like garlic or dried prawns, you can leave them out. Cut the dried prawns and garlic into fine pieces. We are ready to start frying the beans. Heat up the wok and add some oil. Add in the dried prawns first and give it a stir. Add in the garlic… Followed by the French beans. Give them a stir. Add salt to taste. When you are happy with the bite of the beans - some prefer it crunchy and a bit under-cook, while some prefer it a bit softer, the dish is ready. That is the general process of cooking French beans this way. Oil and salt are according to your taste. Garlic and dried prawns are optional. If you don’t like them or if they are not available, you can do with out them. You can drop a few prawns into the beans, or break an egg and fry it with the beans if you like. If you are fan of oyster sauce, you can add some oyster sauce in the finishing stages of the frying.Prepare the dish once, fine tune it a second time and by the third time, you will have the perfect plate of stir-fry French beans.
