Work

I quite believe this. Work keeps our minds occupied. And if it is work we enjoy doing, we will be so engrossed in it, we won’t have time to get depressed. If it is physical work we are doing, we will also be kept physically healthy.

We are more likely to suffer a breakdown from thinking too much and worrying than from overworked. Work gives us a sense of belonging and accomplishment. When we have a sense of achievement, we are less likely to feel we are useless and getting depressed over it.

If we enjoy our work, we will not find it tedious. Even if it is hard work, we find joy, satisfaction and fulfilment, and we will not complain. Hard work and working hard is rarely a problem, but the lack of motivation to work hard is.

Anyway, it is definitely better to have something to do than to think of what to do with our time. So, find something you enjoy doing and give your all to it. Every work you do, reflects back on you – your attitude and your workmanship. By the work, one knows the workman. When you excel in your line of work, fame and fortune will follow. Sometimes, much good work is lost for the lack of a little more. That is unfortunate. Don’t let that happen to you.

"Everyone enjoys doing the kind of work for which he is best suited." - Napoleon Hill
